Freddy’s celebrates city centre success with luxurious expansion

08/07/2024

Popular Edinburgh late-night party parlour Freddy’s has undergone an impressive expansion after unprecedented demand for the elevated luxury it brings to the city centre.

Since opening at 24 Frederick Street in October last year, the venue has quickly become one of the Capital’s must-visit late-night destinations, with locals and visitors alike booking out the space week after week to enjoy live music, a vibrant atmosphere, signature cocktails, world-class beers and Insta-worthy interiors.

Now, having been blown away by the overwhelming response, the team behind Freddy’s have reinvested in the venue, transforming it further to not only enhance the customer experience but cater to a broader audience, too.

Creatively utilising every inch of space, the centre stage room has now doubled in size, significantly increasing the capacity for seated table bookings, while a new island bar has been added to the heart of the space, and the space has been expanded to make more room for after-dark partying.

With a lively party atmosphere upfront and luxurious hidden corners further into space, Freddy’s also benefits from an upgraded sound system for the ultimate audio experience, and a new air-cooling system to ensure comfort.

In addition to newly upgraded interiors, which will wow visitors after launching on Friday 19th July, Freddy’s is set to boast an exciting new range of cocktails, including the cheekily named “Rum DMC,” refreshing tipple “Watermelon Sugar,” and nostalgia-filled “Dancing Queen” – all just as fun to order as they are to sip.

Perfectly balancing energetic party vibes with upscale chill-out spaces, the new and improved Freddy’s has something for everyone – and the sophisticated yet unpretentious atmosphere is a cut above the rest.

General Manager Gavin Currie said: “Freddy’s has surpassed all expectations, quickly becoming a staple in Edinburgh’s nightlife scene. We’ve grown steadily, hitting all our targets, and now, with this expansion, we’re set to solidify Freddy’s as the go-to late-night destination in the city.

“Our success is a testament to our great offerings, top-notch entertainment, exceptional service, and meticulous attention to the venue’s aesthetics.”

Further adding to the buzz surrounding Freddy’s, in the coming months, the venue’s owners will announce details of a brand new sister location on Hanover Street, which will provide vital employment opportunities, including roles for a Head Chef, bar staff, waiting team members, supervisors, assistant managers, and a social media manager with roles also available at Freddy’s.

Gavin continued: “We’re thrilled to announce our next venture on Hanover Street.

“This new concept will embody everything people love about Freddy’s, with even more under one roof and, of course, with that signature Freddy’s twist. Stay tuned, Edinburgh – the best is yet to come!”

The aptly named “Backstage” space opens on Friday, July 19th. From then on, it will be open for walk-ins and reservations on Fridays and Saturdays.

The space is also available for private hire. Meanwhile, the “Lobby” bar space at the front is open for walk-ins and reservations all week long.
