Calling all food and drink industry suppliers, public sector buyers want to work with you and we want to help them! Join the Supplier Development Programme’s Meet the Buyer National event on 4 June, at Murrayfield Stadium to meet your next potential customer.

Running from 09.30am – 3.30pm, Meet the Buyer National is a free to attend event that is Headline Partnered by Scottish Government and Scotland Excel.

The Opportunity

With over 60 exhibitors, and an estimated 1,500 attendees, Meet the Buyer National allows you to connect with public and private sector buyers, who have contract opportunities for the food and drink industry.

It’s the perfect place to discover how to win your share of Scotland’s £16.6 billion annual public sector procurement spend.

Food Focused

Partnering this year’s Meet the Buyer National is framework operator, Scotland Excel. Scotland Excel has a food portfolio worth £83m a year and has six frameworks covering the sector including: groceries, frozen foods, meats, milk, fruit and vegetables, as well as bread, rolls and bakery products.

Scotland Excel will be ready to talk about these opportunities on the day, and to connect suppliers with one of its main contractors Brakes, who is exhibiting and sponsoring the Meet the Buyer National Food Industry Zone.

Brakes (a Sysco Company) is the UK’s leading food wholesaler, and it supplies hotels, restaurants, and schools. Visit Brakes in the Food Industry Zone to discuss its subcontracting opportunities!

Joining Brakes on the conference floor will be 3 Headline Partners, 1 UK Government Body, 19 Scottish Local Authorities, 4 NHS bodies, 2 Education bodies, 15 other public sector organisations and 17 private sector organisations.

These teams will be on the lookout for providers of food, drinks, catering concessions, catering management, event catering, food logistics, food technology, maintenance services, recycling, health and safety products and other suppliers, among attendees.
