Glasgow-based independent bottler Brave New Spirits has announced a partnership with HPS Epicurean, t/a Preiss Imports of Ramona, California, who will act as their importer for their single cask and small-batch whisky ranges in the USA from 2026 onwards.
Preiss Imports is led by father and daughter team Henry and Nikki Preiss. Founded in 2012 to specialise in the import and marketing of premium international spirits and wines, they currently supply distributors in 48 states, and work with a carefully curated range of international spirits producers. The Preiss name has been iconic within the US drinks industry for over 50 years, with Henry’s father starting his first liquor importation business in Los Angeles in 1961 and Henry joining that company in 1974.
Discussions between Preiss Imports and Brave New Spirits commenced in August 2025, when Henry Preiss and Paul Dempsey from BNS met at the Spirits Selection (Concours Mondial des Bruxelles) judging event in Jalisco, Mexico. The duo remained in contact after the event, meeting again during a Scottish Development International (SDI) trade mission the following November.

Commenting on the new agreement, Paul Dempsey from Brave New Spirits stated, “We’re excited to be working Preiss Imports to bring our Cask Masters, Whisky Heroes, and Whisky of Voodoo ranges to the USA. Henry’s 50-year history of building craft spirits brands in the US, and his close ties to Campbeltown where BNS is building Witchburn Distillery, will allow us the opportunity to work with many great retailers across the country.”
Henry Preiss also commented: “Discovering the forward thinking and marketing of Brave New Spirits was both a revelation and a brand we are exciting to be involved with.”
The first shipments for Brave New Spirits “Cask Masters” range will arrive in the USA during Q1 of 2026, with plans being developed to work with a range of stores and festivals to launch the new whiskies to US Scotch Whisky enthusiasts.
