Costa Coffee, the Nation’s Favourite Coffee Shop*, is proud to today announce the reopening and expansion of its store in the Arrivals Terminal at Edinburgh Airport, representing a significant £750,000 investment. With almost 17 million passengers travelling through the airport last year, the expanded store will enhance the coffee experience at Scotland’s busiest airport
The investment more than doubles Costa Coffee’s existing space within the airport and introduces an additional 60 seats, providing customers with a spacious, modern environment to relax, work or enjoy their favourite handcrafted coffee, made with Costa Coffee’s Mocha Italia Signature taste, after landing in Edinburgh.
Designed with customer convenience in mind, the expanded store introduces several new features including Costa Coffee’s freshly baked pastries available throughout the day, and self-service ordering screens for a seamless customer journey.
The investment also reflects Costa Coffee’s continued commitment to its people and the communities it serves. The existing store team has been retained, with an additional six team members recruited to support the larger store – ensuring every cup continues to be crafted with heart.

Laura Crow, Regional Operations Director for Scotland and North England at Costa Coffee, said: “We’re proud to unveil our newly expanded store in the Arrivals Terminal at Edinburgh Airport. This £750,000 investment demonstrates our continued confidence in Scotland and the travel retail sector, enhancing our existing presence at the airport with a larger, refreshed space for customers.
Situated in the arrivals area, our store is perfectly placed to welcome those returning from their journeys, as well as friends and families waiting to reunite. Every detail has been designed with care, from our freshly baked pastries to enhanced digital ordering, ensuring a warm, convenient, and memorable experience for everyone passing through.”
Christine Jardine, Member of Parliament for Edinburgh West, said: “As someone who needs their coffee first thing in the morning, especially when I’m travelling down to Westminster, it’s fantastic to see the new store up and running.
“I look forward to seeing what the airport’s further expansion can offer passengers, and how the new jobs created can benefit Edinburgh and beyond.”
