Scotch malt whisky cream liqueur brand, Magnum, is taking off into the world of global travel retail from Edinburgh Airport, as part of an exclusive new partnership with industry expert agency, SipWell.

Magnum is now hitting the shelves in three of Scotland’s top international airports, including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen in time for the Easter getaway.

There are also plans to expand the brand’s global travel retail distribution throughout 2026.

Magnum is now the only cream liqueur exclusively crafted and bottled in Scotland using single malt Scotch whisky, making it the ultimate Scottish brand to showcase to international travellers on a global stage at selected UK airports.

The global travel retail launch is being supported by a team of SipWell’s dedicatedbrand ambassadors, who will be handing out free samples of Magnum to international travellers passing through Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports.

Magnum is an industry pioneer when it comes to its reusable and recyclable packaging. Unlike more common glass bottles, Magnum’s stainless steel flask container is robust and durable. It also keeps the liqueur chilled at the optimum temperature, without the need for ice.

Edinburgh-based Hemisphere Brands is the global brand agent for Magnum and manages the brand from production planning through to the strategy for market entry, as well as executing the sales, marketing and global distribution plan.

Lee Schofield, Director for Magnum, said:

“We’re really excited to be introducing Magnum to the world of global travel retail for the first time, which is a significant milestone for the growth of our truly Scottish brand.

“With continued support from our industry partners, SipWell, we’re now able to showcase Magnum to international travellers on a world stage at some of Scotland’s busiest international airports.”

Lee added:

“Our vision for Magnum is uncompromising and our ambition is straightforward. We craft a premium cream liqueur that contains the finest single malt Scotch whisky and only single malt right here in Scotland, making it the ultimate Scottish souvenir drink to pick up in duty free.

“Provenance, premium ingredients and sustainability remains at the heart of everything we do.”

SipWell is a leading sales and marketing agency specialising in route to market strategy and growth for premium brands in global travel retail.

SipWell Brands Commercial Director, Andrew Torrance, commented:

“The global cream liqueur market is expanding, showing double-digit growth in travel retail value and volume. In this dynamic environment, SipWell Brands is proud to have supported Magnum Cream Liqueur in securing a strategic listing with Avolta UK , further validating both the brand’s appeal and the strength of travel retail as a channel for premium spirits.”

Magnum is now available to purchase at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports, priced at £19.99 per 70cl bottle.

Magnum is a fusion of single malt Scotch whisky and cream. Smooth, creamy caramel notes play off single malt Speyside whisky for a balanced taste with a warming ginger afterglow. Its superior ingredients and contemporary design set it apart from traditional liqueurs.
