Equi’s Ice Cream is celebrating another standout year at the prestigious Great Taste Awards after scooping 10 stars across six products, extending its winning streak to 11 consecutive years.
Widely regarded as the “Oscars” of the food world, the Great Taste Awards are judged by more than 500 experts including chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers. This year’s honours underline the Scottish ice cream maker’s continued reputation for quality, craftsmanship and flavour.
The winning products were Pistachio Swirl, Strawberry, Crème Brûlée and Amaretto Bakewell, which all received two-star recognition, alongside Blackcurrant & Cassis Sorbet and Liquorice & Mascarpone Gelato, which each earned one star.
Among the winners are two flavours available for customers to enjoy at home. Pistachio Swirl and Strawberry both received two-star awards, marking them out as outstanding products that deliver above and beyond.
Pistachio Swirl is available in 460ml tubs at major retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Scotmid, Morrisons and selected One O One stores. Strawberry is sold in 120ml tubs from selected One O One and Asda Convenience stores. Both flavours can also be enjoyed in Equi’s parlours across Scotland.

Judges were particularly impressed by Pistachio Swirl, describing it as “an exceptionally well-executed ice cream” in which “the true pistachio flavour is captured beautifully”. They added: “A delicious ice cream – the judges wanted to eat more.”

Strawberry also earned high praise, with judges calling it “a very well-made, natural-tasting ice cream” with a “tremendously smooth” and “creamy and indulgent texture”.
Behind the success is a focus on quality ingredients, with Equi’s sourcing its whole milk from East Kilbride-based Park Farm, which also picked up accolades at the 2026 Great Taste Awards.
The latest recognition continues the family-run business’s long-standing success at the Great Taste Awards, reinforcing its place among Scotland’s best-known artisan ice cream makers.
