JA Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort has unveiled its Christmas and Hogmanay programme for 2026, with festive stays, seasonal dining, party nights and a gala ball to welcome 2027.

Set within 240 acres overlooking the River Clyde and Kilpatrick Hills, the resort will offer two and three-night breaks alongside celebrations for families, friends and colleagues.

Christmas at the resort

The Christmas stays begin on 24 December, with guests welcomed by mulled wine and homemade mince pies before a four-course Christmas Eve dinner and seasonal entertainment.

Christmas Day includes a Scottish breakfast, Champagne and canapés in The Gallery, followed by Christmas lunch. Festive films in the private Screening Room, an evening buffet and entertainment round off the celebrations.

Both packages include falconry and access to the resort’s leisure facilities. Guests choosing the three-night stay can also enjoy a traditional Boxing Day roast and further evening entertainment before departing on 27 December.

For those seeking a quieter break between celebrations, the Festive Interlude is available from 27 to 30 December. The overnight stay includes Scottish breakfast and access to the swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and gym.

Seasonal dining and celebrations

From 27 November to 29 December, The Dining Room will serve a three-course festive menu with a welcome cocktail, while festive Champagne afternoon tea will bring together savouries, freshly baked favourites and seasonal sweet treats.

New for 2026, Host the Roast offers families and groups a private dining room for a sharing-style Christmas feast. One guest will take on turkey-carving duties, with the hotel team handling the rest.

Executive chef Brian Scanlan has shaped the seasonal menus around Scottish produce, working with local suppliers and using ingredients including herbs grown in the resort’s garden.

The Pavilion will host Christmas party nights on 4, 12 and 19 December, featuring a welcome reception, three-course dinner, DJ, live saxophonist and photobooth. Complimentary coach transfers from Glasgow city centre will be available, subject to minimum group numbers.

Hogmanay at Mar Hall

The resort’s Hogmanay stays begin on 31 December, with two-night breaks running until 2 January and three-night stays continuing until 3 January.

The black-tie Hogmanay Gala Ball in The Pavilion will open with Champagne and a four-course dinner, followed by a live band, DJ and dancing. A traditional piper will mark midnight before fireworks light up the estate.

New Year’s Day brings a more relaxed programme, including Scottish breakfast, films in the Screening Room, afternoon tea and a four-course dinner. Guests staying an additional night will also enjoy lunch and an à la carte dinner on 2 January.

Christmas and Hogmanay breaks can be booked through the festive offers page. Further information about dining, party nights and the gala ball is available on the festive events page.
