ON 2nd March The Knowledge Bank will host Thirst for Knowledge – a live-streamed and in-person conference at Edinburgh’s EICC  – providing the Scottish alcohol industry with fresh insight into global and UK alcohol market opportunities.

The conference provides the opportunity for Scottish alcohol producers, large and small, to hear from global and UK market experts who will present specially commissioned research exploring trends, innovation and opportunities in the sector. UK on and off trade performance will be looked at as well as marketing brands digitally.

Speakers include: Global Data, The Food People, Super Yacht Supplies, Scottish Development International, Tudor Rose International, Mindshare APAC, Nielsen, CGA and The Knowledge Bank.

Uncovering interesting and underutilised opportunities for the sector will be a common theme of the conference with a panel discussion featuring speakers from Global Data, Mindshare and Super Yacht Suppliers.

Thirst for Knowledge is The Knowledge Bank’s first in person event since launching in August 2021.  With 100 spaces, the event has been designed to provide Scottish alcohol producers with the opportunity to network and be inspired by the insight and topics available.  For those unavailable to attend in person the conference will be live-streamed.

Amanda Brown, Project Director at The Knowledge Bank, said: “The pandemic has changed the landscape for all aspects of the alcohol sector including retail, ecommerce, on trade and hospitality sectors – for the better and worse.

This conference is the place to find out where future opportunities and trends lie.  Providing the inside track to new markets to optimise their businesses, we hope to be able to help and inspire them to look at new ways in which they can improve their commercial outlook.  If each producer comes away with a kernel of a new idea, which they can then develop into a new business opportunity, then the conference will be a success.”

Attendees must be based in Scotland to register and as places are limited, priority will be given to producers. Professional service suppliers who support the sector are encouraged to book the livestream ticket option. To register for a free place, visit https://www.knowledgebankbrewing.co.uk/
