Investment totalling £1.5 million has meant that, in addition to the popular restaurant, Gidi Grill owners Mobolaji Adeniyi and Eniola Odejayi have also created two stylish short let/lease apartments which lie within the same building and are accessed via Langstane Place.

The very spacious granite properties are available for short let and lease and have been carefully remodelled to make the most of traditional large rooms and high ceilings balanced with quality, fresh, modern interiors.  In the two-bed apartment, both bedrooms are en-suite and there is an additional shower room, whilst the three-bed apartment enjoys two en-suite rooms.

The first anniversary of Gidi Grill Aberdeen also coincides with the fifth anniversary of the original restaurant in Dundee which opened in 2018 and now employs 50 people at City Square.

Commenting on Gidi Grill’s first year in Aberdeen, Mobolaji Adeniyi said: “Gidi Grill’s expansion into the Aberdeen hospitality scene has been an important part of our journey and a stepping stone toward realising our future growth plans.”

Eniola Odejayi added: “By listening closely to our customers and community, we are now poised to evolve the Gidi Grill offering in line with demand and we look forward to rolling out a variety of exciting projects such as additions to our portfolio.”

Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We are delighted to see Gidi Grill Aberdeen celebrate their first anniversary on Union Street.  This popular restaurant has been a real boost on the Granite Mile, attracting people into the city centre to enjoy this wonderful – and unique – cuisine.

“Gidi Grill has brought energy and diversity to Union Street and has helped the drive to re-invigorate our most important thoroughfare.  We wish them every success in the future and hope they will be joined by many other thriving businesses.”
