When asked about the inspiration behind Big D’s pizza and what sets them apart, Madiha Iqbal, manager at Big D’s Pizza told Aberdeen Business News: “Big D’s was inspired by a passion for authentic, handmade pizza that brings people together. We wanted to create a place where quality, flavour, and freshness are at the heart of every pizza we make.”

“Our goal was simple: to offer a menu that celebrates classic techniques while giving people a memorable experience in every bite.”

“What sets us apart from other local pizzerias is our approach to crafting each pizza by hand. We start with dough that we prepare fresh daily, allowing it to develop the perfect flavour and texture.

“Each pizza is hand-stretched to order, ensuring an artisanal quality that makes each slice stand out. This hand-crafted process, paired with high-quality ingredients and a commitment to delivering incredible flavours, gives our pizzas that extra “wow” factor that customers can taste.”

Demand was so high that the pizzeria’s team ultimately sold out of pizzas, leading to an early close after a day filled with nonstop orders.

Despite the bustling atmosphere and constant queue, the team managed to keep up with demand, showcasing exceptional service and dedication.

“There was a lot of pressure on our pizza chefs, but they kept the fresh, hand-stretched doughs coming,” said Big D’s manager said to Aberdeen Business News.

“We’re thrilled with the turnout and incredibly grateful to the community for such a warm welcome.”

“The overwhelming response from the community at our grand opening means everything to our team. Seeing such a huge turnout and feeling the excitement from our customers confirms that we’re on the right path with Big D’s.

“It’s truly inspiring to know that our vision resonates with so many people, and it motivates us to keep delivering the high-quality, hand-crafted pizzas we’re passionate about.”

“For us, this turnout was more than just a successful launch; it was a powerful reminder of the support within this community. Every team member—from our chefs, who kept up with the nonstop demand, to our front-line staff—was fueled by the positive feedback and enthusiasm from everyone who came through our doors.”

“This response is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and love that went into creating Big D’s, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make our grand opening a memorable event”

Adding a touch of local flair to the event, boxing champion Lee McAllister performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, drawing even more attention and excitement to the grand opening. Customers praised Big D’s commitment to using fresh, handmade dough and carefully sourced ingredients, setting a high bar for quality in every bite.

Big D’s Pizzeria plans to keep this commitment to quality as it builds its place in the local dining scene, with handcrafted pizzas made daily. The team has extended a heartfelt thank you to the community for their enthusiastic support and looks forward to continuing to serve Aberdeen’s pizza lovers.
