Consilium Chartered Accountants are delighted to have provided full lead advisory services to PJs Foods Limited in their sale to Tiffin Sandwiches.

Glasgow-based PJs Foods (PJ) was established in 1996 and provides food-to-go products including sandwiches, pasta bowls, and salad bowls. The firm is a leading supplier to the NHS, higher education institutions, schools, in-flight caterers and sporting events in Scotland and the north of England.

Tiffin Sandwiches is one of the UK’s largest food-to-go manufacturers, distributing products to over 4,000 locations nationwide. The acquisition strengthens Tiffin’s production and distribution capacity in Scotland thanks to PJs purpose-built factory which outputs up to 90,000 products per week.

Lead advisory services were provided by the Consilium team of Corporate Finance Partner Linzi Wilson and Manager Colin McCrann.

Discussing the deal Linzi Wilson said: “I’m proud that Scott, Julie and Ken put their trust in Consilium to take PJs Foods through this deal from start to finish. It has been a pleasure to work with them for the first time and secure the future of their base in Glasgow.”

Julie Smith, Director of PJs Foods said: “Consilium were recommended to us, and we wouldn’t hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend them to others considering a business sale.”

“Linzi and the team were responsive, clear, and thorough throughout – particularly during the financial due diligence process. We constantly felt they had our best interests at heart, and their sound, steady advice helped us navigate the process efficiently and with confidence.”

Tiffin Sandwiches Director, Mark Salisbury said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of PJs Foods Limited. This strategic move adds to our current facilities in England and Wales and strengthens our commitment to delivering quality products throughout the UK. We extend our thanks to Linzi Wilson of Consilium Chartered Accountants for her professionalism, and guidance throughout the entire process.”

Laura McKnight from MacDonald Henderson provided PJ with legal advice.
