Aberdeen’s award-winning cocktail bar, The Tippling House, has unveiled a brand new cocktail menu that’s already shaking up the city’s nightlife scene and Union Media’s Aberdeen Business News & Larder Magazine were invited to come check it out.

Located on Belmont Street, the speakeasy-style cosy-lit venue welcomed guests for an exclusive showcase of its latest drinks offering, a menu two years in the making, crafted by owner Adrian Gomes and his talented team. The new collection features 15 innovative cocktails, ranging from fiery concoctions and reimagined classics to boundary-pushing flavour combinations.
Among the standout drinks on the night were the ‘Rhu Paul’, a bold blend of Malbec, rhubarb, egg yolk and lemon, and ‘Spice Boy’, which pairs gin and peach with watermelon, jalapeño and coconut for a sweet yet spicy hit. Perhaps most daring was ‘Say Cheese’, a smoky whisky-based cocktail finished with a dusting of parmesan, which sparked lively discussion amongst guests.

For those opting to skip the alcohol, The Tippling House hasn’t overlooked inclusivity. Guests sampled two meticulously crafted mocktails, ‘Leeloo Dallas’ and ‘Gepetto’, which offered complex, satisfying flavour profiles without compromise. Every non-alcoholic cocktail sold will see £1 donated to local cancer support charity Friends of ANCHOR, reinforcing the venue’s ongoing commitment to the local community.
Reflecting on the launch, Gomes said the menu is a culmination of years of experimentation, creativity and collaboration: “We’ve put everything into this menu. It’s been a labour of love from our team, and we wanted to make sure there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into classic cocktails, bold new flavours, or alcohol-free options.”

Canapés were served throughout the evening, offering rich accompaniments to the drinks, from venison to mackerel, though not every dish was for every palate. Nevertheless, the food provided a welcome pairing to the layered complexity of the drinks menu.
