An independent Scottish distiller has become the ‘Official Gin’ of the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, which tees off with a pro-am on Wednesday 10th July. Eden Mill, a brand that originates from ‘the home of golf’, will be gracing the fairways of East Lothian helping golf fans get in the swing of things with a delicious range of gin serves.

Held at the exclusive Renaissance Club just outside North Berwick, the stunning location is set in 300 beautiful acres along the Firth of Forth on Scotland’s world-famous “Golf Coast”. Spectators in East Lothian are in for a treat as defending champion Rory McIlroy is joined by stars including home hero Robert MacIntyre and their fellow Ryder Cup stars Viktor Hovland and Tommy Fleetwood.

Premium Korean car manufacturer Genesis is the headline sponsor of Scotland’s national open golf tournament, one of the biggest in Europe. Following a successful collaboration with the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles earlier this year, Eden Mill built upon this relationship by partnering with the Genesis Scottish Open as the brand leverages its St Andrews provenance and increases its foothold in the golf sector.

Commenting on the partnership, Rennie Donaldson, Chief Executive Officer at Eden Mill, said: “Our gin was born in St Andrews, the home of golf. So to be able to  make it available to fans travelling to Scotland from all over the world is a huge moment for the brand.  After a successful activation at the Genesis Invitational in LA earlier this year, it was a natural next step to continue this relationship and become the ‘Official Gin’ of such a prestigious golf competition. ”

Eden Mill will be providing perfect serves and cocktails from its portfolio of coastal gins inspired by the flora from the east coast of Scotland. The ever-popular Golf Gin, for instance, takes its botanical inspiration from St Andrews links courses. Attendees can expect anything from a refreshing Eden Mill G&Tee stirred with Mediterranean Tonic, mint & blackberry to a more vibrant Eden Mill Love Gin Spritz which is bursting with flavour from pink grapefruit soda, garnished with fresh raspberries.

Eden Mill’s soon-to-be-completed distillery is located just seven minutes from St Andrews and is due to commence production later this year – opening its doors to tourists from spring 2025. The brand recently launched a brand-new gin and whisky experience in the 5 star Old Course Hotel. ‘Eden Mill at the Old Course Hotel’ is now open to the public offering two distinct experiences – a Coastal Gin Flight and the Eden Mill Single Malt Flight.
