Along with major wholesaler deals, Talonmore Non Alcoholic Spirit is celebrating a triumphant victory at Scottish Edge – as the only beverage brand to succeed in this year’s competition – securing funding of £80,000 as well as the RBS

Talonmore Non Alcoholic Spirit rejoices as the Edinburgh-based drinks company has won the coveted Scottish Edge Competition and announces major wholesale deals to make the spirit widely available across the whole of Scotland.

The panel of Scottish Edge judges was impressed by Talonmore’s laser-focused brand strategy, as well as on-trend partnerships such as a recent collaboration with mushroom supplement specialists Antioxi to create the ‘Talonmore Roar’ – a brand-new cocktail boasting extraordinary health benefits and unique characteristics.

Wholesale deals with the likes of major Scottish wholesaler Inverarity Morton and listings secured across the Montpelier Group – including the likes of Edinburgh’s city-centre bars Tigerlily, Indigo Yard and Rabble – makes the future very bright for Talonmore.

Named as 2024 Men’s Health and Good Housekeeping’s best non-alcoholic spirit, the liquid’s versatility is what makes it shine in cocktails. The spirit is 0% ABV and brewed with Scottish water; fired by the spice of ginger and Assam tea it contains key superfoods including prickly pear and hawthorn berry, both with recognised health benefits.

Talonmore is a Scottish based, family run business established in Edinburgh in 2020. Using a mix of rooted and plant-based ingredients, it’s inspired by Edinburgh’s festival spirit and history of innovation. Talonmore was created to provide an exceptional alcohol-free drink that can be enjoyed without compromising health, clarity and taste.

Choosing brewing methods of manufacture, rather than distilling, Talonmore has developed a unique beverage that ensures flavour is at the forefront, replicating the experience of drinking a dark spirit. The latest batch of Talonmore includes a new look and feel, with an upgraded label and eye-catching flagship red foil.

Talonmore is the only company this year to win the RBS Scale Edge award – which comes with RBS support, direct entry to their Entrepreneur Accelerator and access to Business Hubs across the UK.

Scottish EDGE is a funding competition aimed at identifying and supporting Scotland’s innovative, high growth potential entrepreneurial talent. The competition is delivered twice per year and has supported 569 early-stage Scottish businesses with over £25m in award funding.

Lewis Kennedy, Managing Director at Talonmore Drinks Company, said: “To be recognised by Scottish Edge is an absolute milestone for Talonmore. We had many goals and dreams when we started our brand, and winning pitches like this is very high on that list.

“There are some really exciting and innovative businesses across Scotland right now. We’re just so happy to be recognised as one of them at this stage in our journey. We’re bursting with ideas at Talonmore and we have a lot in the pipeline to shout about. This funding will help make that possible. We are so excited to show the world what is next for Talonmore.”

With over 8 million adults in the UK looking to reduce their alcohol intake, Talonmore is designed to shake up the non-alcoholic drinks market by championing the adventurous lifestyle that would normally be sacrificed with traditional alcohol.
