Award-winning chef Sagar Massey is set to host an exclusive six-course tasting menu in Glasgow to celebrate National Curry Week.
The event will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, 1 October at Angeethi, Massey’s restaurant in the city’s southside and the only Indian restaurant in Scotland to hold a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
The evening will mark the first in a planned series of tasting events designed to introduce diners to new dishes, flavours and spices.
The menu will feature dishes including cod ceviche, chicken tangdi and saffron and pistachio shrikhand. Guests will also have the option to add a pairing of Indian wines.
Massey said: “The humble curry is a national treasure; however, our tasting menu provides an added dimension to each dish, featuring flavours people might not have experienced.
“This is the first in a series of tasting menus designed to introduce guests to new dishes and spices.”
Raised near New Delhi, Massey moved to Scotland in 2014 and has developed a reputation for combining the spices and flavours of his homeland with Scottish produce and fine-dining techniques.
He reached the final of BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals in 2022 and has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants including Restaurant Martin Wishart in Edinburgh and the Isle of Eriska Hotel near Oban.
