The Glasgow Distillery has partnered with The Grosvenor Picture Theatre to launch a new series of themed Tasting Screenings, blending iconic films with curated cocktails and food at the historic Ashton Lane cinema.

Designed to offer a more immersive cinema experience, the events pair classic films with bespoke drinks and tasting moments, served at key points throughout each screening and inspired directly by the stories unfolding on screen.

Following the success of a recent Skyfall event, the series continues on Friday 10 July with a screening of The Godfather. Guests can expect a Glasgow Distillery twist on the classic Godfather cocktail, alongside a selection of themed serves crafted to complement the film’s atmosphere and narrative.

Further dates are already scheduled, including The Wicker Man on 30 October and Angel’s Share on 4 December, with additional screenings expected to be announced later in the year.

The Grosvenor Picture Theatre has built a loyal following for its Sip-Along and tasting events, which combine film, food and drink to create engaging and interactive cinema experiences.

This latest collaboration brings together two well-known Glasgow names, united by a shared focus on storytelling, flavour and memorable nights out.

Joel Beattie said: “These screenings are all about creating memorable experiences around films people already love. The response to Skyfall was fantastic and showed there’s a real appetite for something a little different.

“Working alongside The Glasgow Distillery allows us to bring another layer to the experience, and we’re looking forward to welcoming audiences back for more cult-classic films, great cocktails and a unique night out in Glasgow.”

Tickets for the Tasting Screenings are available via The Grosvenor Picture Theatre website.
