Kildrummy Inn will be competing against the Welsh and English winners – Y Talbot in Ceredigion, and The Cartford Inn in Lancashire.

Prior to this, the Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards will recognise the region’s top tourism contributors on Friday, September 22 at The Chester Hotel in Aberdeen, where Kildrummy Inn will vie against two notable local establishments – Sandman Signature and Meldrum House Country Hotel.

Chef Proprietor David Littlewood reflects on this milestone, he said: “Being recognised as a finalist in both of these prestigious awards is not just an honour—it’s a confirmation of our commitment to excellence and innovation in hospitality.

“For a small four-bedroom inn like ours to make it onto the national stage is a testament to our unique approach and dedication. It showcases that even smaller establishments can make a significant impact on the UK’s vibrant hospitality map.”

These nominations highlight a pivotal moment for Kildrummy Inn, emphasising its role as a leader in providing exceptional guest experiences and contributing to the tourism sector in Scotland.

Owners David and Sophie Littlewood have plans to increase the number of bedrooms they have as well as introducing retail units and farmers’ markets to the Inn.

Kildrummy Inn has a reputation as a gastro destination, offering award winning dining in its charming restaurant and opulent private dining room.

An atmospheric, club style whisky snug with a feature bottle wall, offers an extensive range of malts as well as nosings and tastings.

The Inn is also an idyllic escape for fishing enthusiasts with its own private beat on the RiverDon and guests and diners can enjoy dinner and live Scottish traditional music with the monthly Foodie Folk events.
