Aberdeen’s food scene is set to welcome a vibrant new arrival this summer, as Maki & Ramen officially opens its doors in Union Square on Saturday the 16th of August.

The popular Japanese dining brand, known for its flavour-packed ramen bowls and fresh sushi, confirmed the long-awaited opening via social media, telling followers: “This is not a drill – the moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here.”

The restaurant, which has locations across Edinburgh and Glasgow, has built a strong following for its relaxed atmosphere, Instagram-worthy interiors and focus on authentic Japanese flavours.

As part of its Aberdeen launch, Maki & Ramen also announced a new partnership with local charity Instant Neighbour. The charity, based in the city, supports people living in poverty and vulnerable situations by providing food, furniture and practical help.

Bookings are expected to go live in the coming days, with the team encouraging diners to stay tuned and secure their spot early.
