The wait is nearly over for fried chicken lovers on the East Coast of Scotland, as Popeyes® UK has announced it will launch its first ever restaurant in the Dundee area this winter. Bringing a taste of New Orleans to Kingsway West Retail Park, the all-new Popeyes® will be the brand’s ninth opening in Scotland since it first opened in Barrhead back in 2023.
Following an ambitious and successful 2025 which saw Popeyes® UK open over 45 restaurants throughout the UK, the brand is set to pull out all the stops to showcase the spirit of Mardi Gras to the City of Discovery.
The restaurant will open with the full Popeyes® menu, including fan favourites such as the iconic Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich, Tenders, Signature Chicken Wraps, Saucin’ Boneless range and the popular Big and Mega Dip range which were a new addition to the menu at the end of last year.
Each piece of Popeyes® famous chicken is marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning, then hand breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘Shatter Crunch’.
The new restaurant will seat 54 guests indoors with a further 16 seats outside, as well as offering four kerbside Park & Serve bays for online order collection. Its opening will also deliver a welcome boost to the local economy with the creation of 81 new jobs.
