Prestonfield House has unveiled its festive programme for 2026, featuring afternoon tea, glamorous party nights, Christmas Day dining and a traditional Scottish Hogmanay celebration.
Set beneath Arthur’s Seat and just minutes from Edinburgh’s Old Town, the historic house will be transformed for the season with glittering Christmas trees, candlelight, open fires and richly decorated rooms.
Visitors looking for a relaxed seasonal experience can book festive afternoon tea, featuring traditional sandwiches and savouries, warm scones and a selection of home-baked cakes.
Speciality teas and coffees will accompany the menu, while guests can also add a glass of Champagne to their afternoon.

As evening falls, Prestonfield will host a series of Winter Wonderland party nights. Each celebration will include a welcome cocktail, three-course dinner, Christmas entertainment and cabaret, followed by dancing into the early hours.
Those hoping to leave the cooking and preparations behind can also spend Christmas Day at Prestonfield.
Guests will be welcomed into the decorated house for an indulgent festive feast, combining the warmth and atmosphere of Christmas with the grandeur of one of Edinburgh’s most distinctive historic properties.
The programme will continue into the New Year with Prestonfield’s Hogmanay Ball.
The evening will begin with Champagne before a four-course dinner, Celtic cabaret and traditional ceilidh. Celebrations will continue into the early hours, with overnight stays also available for guests wishing to remain at the hotel and enjoy a full Scottish breakfast the following morning.
