INNOVATIVE Scottish start-up Savora Drinks (Scotland’s Food & Drink Start-Up of the Year) is putting Scotland on the mixer map as it is announced as the UK’s Best Mixer in the renowned Great British Food Awards 2022. The award for Savora’s Vibrant Orange & Fiery Ginger Mixer is Savora’s second award in the space of two months, with their Zesty Lime & Sweet Agave Mixer taking home the crown of Scotland’s Best Confectionary & Soft Drink Product at last month’s Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.

Judged by Millie Gooch (Founder of the Sober Girl Society), she states that “A spicy and citrus flavour profile makes this mixer a delightful drink that holds its own”. These comments highlight the distinctive taste and versatility that underpins Savora’s Orange & Ginger mixer which has led to its award-winning success.

Born in Edinburgh, Savora Drinks create premium mixers that are specifically crafted for pairing with Tequila. Savora’s ethos is to “rewrite your Tequila story” – encouraging consumers to consider sipping Tequila as a premium long-serve rather than carelessly slamming back as a shot.

Matthew Walker, co-founder of Savora Drinks states “It is an incredible achievement to have our Scottish startup recognized as creating the best mixer in the UK. The Tequila market is evolving, and we are proud to be leading as the mixer brand behind this revolution.”

Savora is stocked in around 40 pubs, bars & restaurants across the UK and as they have now lined up distribution partners to support the next stage of their business, Savora look set to be coming to a bar near you soon.
