A Scottish confectionery brand is making its mark with international travellers after securing retail space in both Aberdeen International and Glasgow International airports.

Tabrifics, known for its premium take on traditional Scottish tablet, is now stocked in Discover Stores at both locations, marking a significant milestone for the growing business.

The move comes after strong demand for the product, with the brand previously invited to host tasting sessions at Glasgow Airport due to its popularity with customers.

Founded by Jonathan Laing, Tabrifics is rooted in a family recipe from the Isle of Skye, which has been carefully developed and scaled for wider production. The brand has also gained attention for its distinctive packaging, with customers reportedly keeping empty boxes as keepsakes.

Laing said the airport listings reflect both the global appeal of Scottish produce and the brand’s ambition to take tablet to a wider audience.

Speaking with Larder Magazine, Jonathan Laing, Founder of Tabrifics, said: “This began with a family recipe from Skye and a belief that Scottish Tablet (our beloved treat) could stand proudly on the world stage. Now it truly is going global and it’s about time. Seeing Tabrifics® in both Aberdeen and Glasgow International Airports, being discovered by travellers from across the world, is a proud moment for us.

“Months and months of hard work got us here, working with some extraordinary people in the travel space. Since the introduction of our 85g, signature recipe Scottish Tablet into both locations, it has literally being flying off the shelves. The future sure is sweet. Come on Scotland!”

With growing visibility in travel retail, the brand has signalled ambitions to expand into more stores across the country. Its online store also says worldwide shipping is available, underlining its wider growth ambitions.
