St Andrews’ luxury destination, Seaton House, has been named ‘Best 5-Star Hotel in Scotland’ at the Prestige Hotel Awards, recognising the boutique hotel’s refined hospitality and transformative contribution to Scotland’s luxury hospitality landscape.

Since opening in 2025, Seaton House has established itself as one of Scotland’s most distinguished destinations, blending restored Victorian architecture with contemporary elegance in the spiritual home of golf.

The award, which was presented at the Prestige Hotel Awards at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow, reflects the highly personalised luxury experiences, thoughtful design and world-class food and beverage offerings at Seaton House.

A celebration of Scottish heritage, Seaton House features 42 beautifully appointed bedrooms, offering guests an intimate and luxurious retreat alongside the iconic Old Course. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a sense of warmth, comfort and an authentic connection to Scotland.

A major contributor to the hotel’s success has been its acclaimed culinary offering, led by Michelin-recommended Ondine Oyster & Grill, curated by renowned Chef Patron Roy Brett. The restaurant was recently added to the Michelin Recommended Guide, continuing the Ondine brand’s longstanding recognition for excellence.

The award adds to a growing list of accolades received by Seaton House since its launch. This also includes an invitation to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a globally respected collection recognising excellence in design, service and guest engagement.

Seaton House is managed by Valor Hospitality Partners as part of the luxury Links Collection portfolio, alongside sister property Dunluce Lodge. Together, the hotels have become recognised as two of the finest luxury golf and leisure destinations in the UK and Ireland.

Michael Davern, General Manager of Seaton House, commented: “Winning Best 5-Star Hotel in Scotland is an incredibly proud moment for our team. This award is recognition of the passion, care and attention to detail that we all bring to Seaton House each day. From restoring this iconic building with respect for its heritage, to creating personalised guest experiences, we have always aimed to offer something exceptional. We are honoured to be recognised among Scotland’s finest hotels and look forward to continuing to elevate the guest experience.”
