This Summer, Silverstone and the British Grand Prix is hosting some of the biggest names from the UK’s restaurant scene. The acclaimed chefs will serve up unique street food in their own signature styles to guests in Octane Terrace, a premium al fresco experience over the Formula 1® Pirelli British Grand Prix weekend.
Discerning guests will be treated to unique street food from returning Michelin Star chefs, Andrew Wong, Angela Hartnett OBE and Tommy Banks. The trio will be joined this year by highly acclaimed Kirk Haworth of plant-based London restaurant Plates and Great British Menu finalist, Kate Austen, known for her work in some of the world’s top Michelin‑starred kitchens. Expect highly innovative Chinese cuisine from Andrew Wong, whose A. Wong restaurant in London’s Pimlico isthe UK’s only two‑Michelin‑star Chinese restaurant, known for its tasting menus and exceptional dim sum.
Angela Hartnett’s love lies in modern Italian styled cooking. Her signature restaurant Murano in Mayfair has one Michelin star and her estate of Cafe Muranos across London offer an Italian neighbourhood café feel that showcases the warmth and joy in Italian cooking.
Tommy Banks’ cooking centres around ingredients grown, reared, or foraged on the Banks’ family farm in Oldstead, Yorkshire. This includes rare‑breed livestock, heritage vegetables, and wild herbs. The dishes at his Michelin star restaurants The Black Swan at Oldstead and Roots in York reinterpret traditional flavours through contemporary techniques, always tied back to the landscape and seasons of North Yorkshire.

Kirk Haworth is the chef‑founder of Plates, a Michelin‑starred, fully plant‑based fine‑dining restaurant in Shoreditch, London. His cooking is known for pushing plant‑based cuisine into new technical and creative territory, drawing on classical training and a personal health journey.
Kate Austen is a private chef operating in London having worked at multiple Michelin‑starred restaurants. She competed on BBC2’s Great British Menu (2024) and became the first woman in the show’s 19‑year history to win the main course.
