IN response to soaring demand for its iconic benches and nourishing bowls, wagamama is thrilled to announce the reopening of its Aberdeen restaurant on December 3. The revamped space, located in Union Square, boasts a fresh new look and an extension designed to accommodate an additional 80 covers. This expansion comes just in time to welcome Christmas shoppers seeking delightful lunch and dinner options. Moreover, this development has led to the creation of 20 new job opportunities for the local workforce.

Rooted in the philosophy of spreading positivity from bowl to soul, wagamama’s Aberdeen restaurant will continue to serve classic guest favorites, including the beloved chicken katsu, ramens, and iconic side dishes from their 50% plant-based menu. Additionally, wagamama introduces an exciting new Korean-inspired menu, featuring their first-ever hot pots. These hot pots, available with chicken, steak, or silken tofu, simmer in a spicy broth alongside seasonal vegetables and satisfying tteokbokki. The menu also showcases Korean street food favourites with a wagamama twist, such as the vegan k-dogs with a crunchy noodle crumb, gochujang rice bowls served with snow onions, and a variety of fresh sides, including rotis with raisukatsu sauce for dipping and mushroom skewers coated in a sweet chilli and miso glaze.

To satisfy the sweet cravings of its patrons, wagamama has introduced a delectable new dessert called chouxnuts. These delightful treats combine soft doughnut and crisp choux pastry with a choice of sweet matcha or kurumitsu black honey custard fillings.

Milly Pearson, Regional Marketing Manager for the North, expressed her excitement about the restaurant’s fresh new look, stating, “We are so excited to open the doors to our bigger and better restaurant in Aberdeen. Our benches will soon be welcoming the local community and visitors to Union Square’s shopping destination, and we can’t wait to serve up some of our fresh favourites to all.”
