Just Eat offers ‘Paw-fect’ night In for pet owners dreading Bonfire Night

05/11/2024

New research by Just Eat reveals that over half of British pet owners find Bonfire Night stressful due to their pets’ fear of fireworks.

A whopping 51% consider it one of the year’s most anxiety-inducing evenings.

While Halloween, Diwali, and Bonfire Night typically bring festive cheer, many pet parents face a different reality.

Nearly two-fifths report being too worried to leave their pets alone during noisy celebrations, often sacrificing social engagements.

To support these devoted pet owners, Just Eat is offering a chance to win a £15 voucher through their AI Assistant.

Ending tonight, users can type ‘PAW ME’ into the chatbot for a shot at a free meal to enjoy with their furry companions.

Top Dog at Just Eat, Andrew Cocker, Marketing Director said: “We know that pet owners across the UK will be cosying up with their furry friends this firework season to keep them safe.

“That’s why we wanted to make their night-in extra special, so that pawrents can celebrate while caring for their pet.”

Doug McPherson, a proud pawrent to Babs the corgi, says: “What makes this time of year especially difficult as a pet owner is all the different celebrations happening throughout the month, so fireworks could go off on any given night during this period.

“As a result, I’ve had to cancel a lot of plans at this time of year. I’m sad to miss out on these celebrations, but having a cosy evening in and ordering from Just Eat really lifts my spirits, and means I can be there to do my duty as a pawrent.”
