Global brand Chicking has set its sights on Scotland as part of its expansion into the UK. This comes after the Hamilton-based FoodFixx Ltd was granted the Scottish master franchise.

Asaad Tariq, Director of FoodFixx Ltd, identified a major gap in the Scottish food market for a brand specializing in high-quality, fully halal chicken.

While Chicking already has several locations in England, FoodFixx’s primary focus is to grow the brand in Scotland before considering further expansion into England.

Their ambitious plan aims to open 30 outlets over the next three years, primarily in Scotland, creating hundreds of jobs in the process. They are actively looking to secure three locations as soon as possible.

In addition to this expansion, FoodFixx is seeking potential franchise partners specifically in Scotland. The company benefits from existing partnerships with Barclays, offering both secured and unsecured funding options, as well as a turnkey facility setup.

With its extensive experience in property management, FoodFixx is well-prepared to support new franchise partners in their setup and growth.

Founded in Dubai, Chicking has thrived globally with over 400 restaurants across 30 countries, standing as the world’s first fully halal international Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand.

Their success is largely due to the quality of their chicken, made fresh to order, with a special 12-hour marination process. Chicking offers a variety of options, including original, spicy, and grilled chicken.

Amidst calls to support alternative brands, Chicking aims to disrupt the current market and provide a unique option for customers.

Asaad said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Chicking to the UK, and we couldn’t think of a better place to start than Scotland.

“The people of Scotland are known for their love of food, and Chicking is ready to cement our place in an already very diverse food scene.

“We aim to not only satisfy cravings but also create a vibrant dining experience and foster a welcoming atmosphere.”
