American chicken chain Wingstop is expanding its Glasgow footprint with the announcement of a new branch opening in Silverburn by the end of the year. This latest store marks the brand’s third Glasgow restaurant, building on the popularity of its existing sites at St Enoch Centre and in delivery-only partnerships.

Since Wingstop’s UK debut in 2018, the chain has rapidly expanded, celebrating five years with more than 39 UK locations and over 1,600 staff members. Its Scottish operations have garnered strong footfall, with the St Enoch Centre location quickly becoming a go-to destination for wing lovers in Glasgow.

The new Silverburn restaurant will offer the full menu of freshly cooked chicken wings, tenders, burgers and sides, served in a selection of ten hand-sauced flavours. As typical of Wingstop, customers can expect vibrant interiors, curated playlists and digital custom ordering options for a modern, fast-casual dining experience.

Wingstop has achieved impressive growth in the UK, opening 18 locations in 2024 and planning over 20 new branches nationwide in 2025. Glasgow’s reception has been enthusiastic, with the chain’s presence boosting footfall and sales at major retail centres.

CEO at Wingstop UK, Chris Sherriff, said: “Wingstop UK has expanded significantly over the last year, and our new site in Glasgow will be a crucial continuation of that growth.

“We’ve seen great demand for our other sites in Glasgow, which is why we’re thrilled to be opening our third site in the city.

“Thank you to our local community for the continued love and support.”
