Oceanic Awards has announced a major expansion of its Curry Awards programme for 2026, following years of growing success and widespread recognition across the UK’s hospitality industry.

The organisation will host 10 regional and national Curry Awards across the country next year, celebrating the chefs, restaurateurs, takeaways and entrepreneurs who continue to shape the UK’s vibrant curry scene.

The expansion reflects the ongoing growth and influence of the UK’s curry industry, which contributes significantly to the nation’s food culture and economy. From Scotland and Wales to London and the Midlands, the awards will continue to recognise excellence and innovation in an industry known for its resilience and creativity.

As part of the initiative, Oceanic Awards will also launch www.Curry-CNCT.com, a new digital platform designed to bring together chefs, restaurants, industry professionals and food enthusiasts with offers across the UK and Ireland.

The platform will act as a central hub for the curry community – offering a space to share recipes, discover emerging talent, connect businesses and celebrate achievements throughout the year.

Curry CNCT will also promote nine of the UK and Ireland’s most prominent curry awards, including:

  • The English Curry Awards
  • The Scottish Curry Awards
  • The Welsh Curry Awards
  • The Midlands Curry Awards
  • The North England Curry Awards
  • The Nations Curry Awards
  • The British Curry Championships
  • The Irish Curry Championships

Together, the awards and new platform aim to strengthen the industry’s sense of community and shine a spotlight on those driving its continued success.

Irfan Younis, spokesperson for Oceanic Awards, said the expansion marks an exciting new chapter for the organisation and the wider industry.

He said: “The Curry Awards have always been about celebrating an industry that continues to grow, evolve and inspire. The passion and dedication within the UK and Ireland’s curry community are unmatched, and we’re proud to play a part in showcasing that.
Expanding to 10 regional and national awards allows us to shine an even brighter light on the people and businesses making a difference every day.

With the launch of Curry CNCT, we’re creating a space where that celebration continues year-round, connecting restaurants, chefs and customers, sharing stories and opportunities, and strengthening the entire curry community from the inside out.”

Since their inception, the Curry Awards have become a flagship feature of the Oceanic Awards calendar, recognising excellence and celebrating cultural impact within the UK’s culinary landscape.

With the launch of Curry CNCT and an expanded 2026 programme, Oceanic Awards says it remains committed to celebrating, connecting and growing the curry industry across the UK and Ireland.
