Whilst Crunch Corn is a NEW fresh chapter within the wider Popcorn Kitchen chronicles, in truth it was the inevitable next snacking step, with Louise Monk and her team of ‘corn obsessives’ fully committed to delivering a new direction in fine grain appreciation.

At the heart of Popcorn Kitchen’s success is an unflinching commitment to Mushroom Corn, which offers a well-rounded, superior eat to the more common Butterfly Corn. For Crunch Corn an unapologetic yet satisfying crunch was the non-negotiable, which quickly became a reality once Louise had discovered Peruvian Chocolo Giant Corn.

This latest eureka moment took shape at the Seville Food Fair 2023 (Feria de Abril), a gastronomic centrepiece within Spain’s rich foodie calendar. Here a thorough trawl of the city’s finest bars and foodie establishments led to Louise discovering the sublime crunchy joy of generously seasoned giant corn kernels, roasted to perfection
Delving a little deeper, Louise realised that the whopping Choclo giant corn that dwarfs its common, sweet corn cousin, not only provides the perfect crunch; it also establishes the perfect setting for simple yet bold flavours to shine. It’s taken a good two years to unearth the right supplier and the perfect flavour profiles, but Crunch Corn is now ready to be the new face of savoury munching joy!
