Scotmid has unveiled six Scottish food and drink producers as the latest winners in its annual Scottish Favourites competition, securing each brand a listing across selected stores from 2026.

Launched in partnership with Scotland Food & Drink’s Scottish Food and Drink September initiative, the competition is designed to spotlight local producers, open up new retail routes and introduce innovative products to convenience shoppers. The 2026 line-up spans everything from jam and granola to pizza, curry and speciality dairy, reflecting the breadth of Scotland’s food and drink scene.

This year’s winning brands are The Gin Bothy (Angus) with Scottish Chilli Jam and Scottish Strawberry Jam, Cosmo (Midlothian) with Margherita Pizzini and a BBQ Chicken Pizzini twin pack, and Nudie Snacks (Glasgow) with Soured Cream & Chive and American BBQ Sweet Potato Chips. They are joined by PK Foods/Mr Singh’s (Glasgow) with Chicken Bhuna Curry and South Indian Garlic Chicken Curry, Yester Farm Dairies (East Lothian) with Cottage Cheese and Luxury Soft Cheese, and Fife-based Nakey Bakey with its Mixed Berry and Strawberry Mango Fusion Granola.

Each supplier will receive a Scotmid listing, with products expected to roll out in selected stores during 2026, subject to final ranging and implementation plans. Scotmid’s local sourcing manager Steven Addison said the competition has become a recognised route to market for Scottish producers and highlighted the high standard of creativity and quality across this year’s entries. He added that the retailer is proud to support local suppliers and help innovative brands take the next step in their retail journey, describing the winners as a dynamic and forward‑thinking snapshot of the sector.

Angus Bell, UK market manager at Scotland Food & Drink, said: “Scottish Favourites continues to provide an important opportunity for ambitious producers to engage with retail and showcase their products to a wider audience.

“Scotmid’s commitment to local sourcing and to championing innovation plays a valuable role in supporting the growth of Scotland’s food and drink sector and Scotland Food and Drink are delighted to have partnered with Scotmid again.

“The winners combine creativity with commercial appeal. Whether reinventing familiar favourites or responding to emerging consumer demands, these businesses are helping to grow our brilliant food and drink sector in Scotland.”
