Head Chef Tom Tsappis recognised for Hotel Restaurant Chef of the Year

Killiecrankie House, the Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms located in Perthshire, Scotland, has been shortlisted at the 2026 Hotel Catey Awards.

Head Chef and Co-Owner Tom Tsappis received individual recognition, specifically being nominated for Hotel Restaurant Chef of the Year. The team learned of the shortlisting this week, with the winners scheduled to be announced at a ceremony in London on 23 November 2026.

Mr Tsappis is nominated alongside Adam Degg of Fifty-Two at Rudding Park, Harrogate; Jean Delport of Restaurant Interlude, Horsham; and Adam Reid of Adam Reid at The French, Manchester.

The Hotel Catey Awards, launched in 2007, celebrate individuals and properties making an outstanding contribution to the UK hotel industry. The 2026 awards feature 23 categories, acknowledging excellence across the sector in areas such as Hotelier of the Year, Outstanding Contribution Award, and Spa Professional of the Year. Recipients are nominated and selected by their industry peers, receiving the coveted Catey statue.

Tom Tsappis commented on the shortlisting, stating: “Being shortlisted alongside chefs from around the UK is a great way of spotlighting what we’re doing here at Killiecrankie. But none of it would be possible without the hard work and dedication of every single member of the team.”

He added: “Everyone pulls together to deliver, whether that’s front of house, the chefs, housekeeping, the gardeners or the management team. Without everyone’s input, it wouldn’t work, so this shortlisting is for everyone who plays their part in making Killiecrankie what it is.”
