LOCH Duart, which has small-scale, low impact salmon farms based in the remote communities of North West Scotland, was on the menu at yesterday’s Coronation Big Lunch at 10 Downing Street (Sunday 7th May 2023).

The smoked Loch Duart salmon is from Valley Smokehouse, known for supplying Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and other high-end restaurants, and was delivered by Flying Fish Seafoods who hold 2 Royal Warrants and supply Michelin-starred chefs and restaurants across the UK.

Commenting on Loch Duart salmon being served as part of the official celebrations, Chris Orr, Sales Director at Loch Duart, said:

“We are so proud to see Loch Duart recognised, once again, as unrivalled world-class salmon fit to be served as part of the official Coronation celebrations. Our partnership with Valley Smokehouse, who smoke our produce, and Royal Warrant holder Flying Fish, meant Downing Street guests enjoyed delicious salmon from one of the world’s last remaining, truly Scottish, farmed broodstock. Loch Duart would like to congratulate their Majesties, King Charles III and Queen Camilla on their Coronation.”

Loch Duart is proud to have been served at official Royal events over the years, including the wedding of William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales and at the late Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee. Loch Duart is the salmon of choice for many Michelin-starred restaurants and leading retailers at home and around the world and has already been selected for other prestigious occasions including Glasgow COP26, the Commonwealth Games and Wimbledon.
