Edinburgh eatery celebrates Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award with September dining discount.
Abacus at The Scholar, located in Edinburgh’s Southside, has been named among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide in the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards 2026. To celebrate this achievement, the restaurant is offering 10% off dining throughout September.
The restaurant, which underwent a refreshment in 2025, serves a menu that includes Scottish hot-smoked salmon rillette, locally sourced dry-aged steak, and heritage roast carrots with burrata and dukkha. These dishes are complemented by a selection of cocktails, European wines, and low- and no-alcohol serves.

Abacus combines calm, natural interiors with splashes of colour and artwork. It offers booth seating and relaxed dining spaces for all-day use, alongside a private dining space capable of hosting up to 10 guests for more intimate occasions.

Guests wishing to redeem the 10% discount on their meal must quote “Tripadvisor” when dining at Abacus, with the offer valid until 30th September 2026. Abacus at The Scholar Hotel is open seven days a week, serving breakfast and an all-day menu from 12 noon until 9.30pm.
