LAST St Patrick’s Day, Leith-based Campervan Brewery made sure their Gluten Free Nitro Porter, Extra Black, was pouring proudly across Edinburgh. And this year is no different!  Creators of Leith Juice, and Campervan Brewery are hoping to Paint The Town Extra Black on 17th March.

Alongside their normal permanent lines, Extra Black will also be available in countless other bars and pubs across Edinburgh, Glasgow, The North East and even Southampton. Akin to Guinness, and gold winner at the International Beer Challenge, Extra Black is a dark beer, with milk chocolate and coffee flavours, creating a rich and perfectly balanced beer.

Paul Gibson, Owner of Campervan Brewery, said, “As a local business in Leith, we are hoping that folk choose a pint of Extra Black over the slightly larger, well known dark beer associated with St Patrick’s Day! Supporting local business is such a brilliant thing to do, plus, the beer is pretty incredible!”.

Campervan Brewery recently announced an expansion to their operation in Leith involving a brand new brewhouse and fermenting vessels. When asked about how the expansion is progressing, Patrick Smith, Production Manager at Campervan Brewery, said, “The team have loved being at Beer X in Liverpool this week to showcase our new brewhouse alongside Brewstar Systems. We can’t wait to get all the new equipment up to Edinburgh to get it installed.”

Campervan Brewery is currently undergoing an expansion which will be complete by April 2024. Make sure to follow Campervan Brewery on social media to see the progress. To find out where Extra Black will be pouring this St Patrick’s Day, head to Campervan Brewery’s Instagram page.
