Scottish 0.0% ABV spirit brand Feragaia has received a majority investment from independent luxury goods group Chanrossa in its pursuit to create Scotland’s leading New Wave Spirits portfolio. Feragaia will join R&B Distillers, the Spirits & Drinks business of Chanrossa, alongside leading new wave single malt and gin brand, Isle of Raasay Distillery.

Benefitting from Chanrossa’s expertise in growing global brands with values rooted in Scottish provenance, quality, community and innovation, the deal marks a significant step in Feragaia’s mission to ‘elevate no and low drinking experiences’. The investment will provide Feragaia with resources and expertise to scale production and further establish the “Free Spirit” category internationally.

Founded in 2019 by Jamie Wild and Bill Garnock, Feragaia became Scotland’s first working 0.0% ABV distillery in 2022 and achieved B Corp accreditation the same year. The brand has built strong national distribution and a loyal following among premium on-trade and retail partners for its authentic, botanically led spirit crafted from 12 botanicals, five of which are grown at its own Fife botanical nursery.

Based on the island of Raasay on the west coast of Scotland, Isle of Raasay Distillery is driven by the mission to make whisky more approachable, enjoyable and fun. Its globally acclaimed single malt whisky and gin are currently exported to over 50 markets worldwide.

The two brands align in offering a progressive drinking experience to the modern, discerning consumer and are both based upon the principles of inclusivity and enjoyment, while being rooted in provenance and authenticity.

“According to IWSR, 82% of people who drink alcohol-free spirits also enjoy alcoholic drinks, yet there’s still a perception that non-alcoholic options are only for non-drinkers,” says Bill Garnock, co-founder of Feragaia. “Feragaia was created to challenge that divide and prove that choosing not to drink alcohol doesn’t mean compromising on flavour or experience. Partnering with Chanrossa allows us to take that message further, scale sustainably, and share Scotland’s Free Spirit with a global audience.”

William Dobbie, Managing Director at R&B Distillers, added: “We are extremely excited to add Feragaia to our portfolio and continue towards our goal of creating Scotland’s leading new wave spirits & drinks business. Our brands are all about creating a more progressive and inclusive drinking experience across categories, while delivering supreme quality on every occasion. By adding Feragaia, whose values align perfectly with ours, we enhance our portfolio of likeminded brands and accelerate our bold, global growth plans”.

“We’re excited to work with Jamie and Bill to grow Feragaia’s footprint in the UK and beyond and strengthen Scotland’s reputation for innovation in spirits – both alcoholic and alcohol-free.“

While R&B Distillers has the controlling stake in the business, Feragaia’s co-founders remain as fully involved shareholders in the business they founded. They will work alongside R&B Distillers to realise the overall and aligned objectives of the Spirits & Drinks business of Chanrossa.

Feragaia will continue to be distributed in the UK by CASK Liquid Marketing until 31 January 2026.
