Global chicken brand, Chicking has been shortlisted for the British Business Awards 2025, in association with NatWest, in the category of Retail Business of the Year.

Chicking has been shortlisted in this category alongside Seasalt Cornwall, Moto, Champo, Six Stories and Stephens Bakery. They will look to take home this accolade when these prestigious awards are held in Edinburgh on the 24th of April.

Founded in Dubai, Chicking is the world’s first fully halal international Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand.

Their success is largely due to the quality of their chicken, made fresh to order, with a special 12-hour marination process. Chicking offers a variety of options, including original, spicy, and grilled chicken.

The brand has rapidly expanded from 9 stores to 17 across the UK. They’re on track to become a top fried chicken brand, aiming for 70 outlets by 2026.

A spokesperson from Chicking said: “It’s an honour for us to be shortlisted for this award among so many top names in the retail sector.

This nomination is a testament to the dedication of our team, the loyalty of our customers and the growing impact of our brand in the UK market. We look forward to continuing our journey and bringing even more exciting offerings to our communities.”

The businesses shortlisted for these awards were chosen by an independent shortlisting panel, with each entry was carefully examined and judged on their positive impact to their workforce, sector and overall contribution to the British economy.

The awards are raising funds for beneficiary homelessness charity Social Bite, with a target of raising £1 million through the event and a fundraising lunch happening earlier in the day, being organised with Gleneagles Hotel.

Josh Littlejohn MBE, Founding Partner and Event Director of the British Business Awards said: “We are so excited to see the event bring together some of the most successful and economically influential people in the UK – to celebrate their success, whilst at the same time raising funds for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Thank you to all of the companies participating in the awards this year.”
