Lindores Abbey Distillery will welcome the festive season with a programme of Christmas events taking place throughout November and December.
The Newburgh distillery’s historic grounds will host an artisan market, wreath-making workshops, festive food and drink, and visits from Father Christmas.
A Christmas tree will also be installed in the courtyard, with pupils from a local primary school helping to create its decorations. The tree will be free for members of the public to visit from 26 November.
Christmas Market
The programme begins with the distillery’s Christmas Market on Saturday 28 November.
More than 25 independent brands, artisans and local producers will gather in the cloister and visitor centre, offering items including cakes, jams, honey, fudge, jewellery, woodcraft, prints, leather goods and candles.
Riley’s Coffee will provide hot drinks, while visiting food traders will serve churros, crêpes and Sri Lankan street food. The distillery’s Legacy Bar will also be open throughout the event.
The market is free to attend and does not require advance booking.

Santa’s Grotto will open in the distillery’s cobbled courtyard on 28 November before returning on selected dates throughout December.
Families can visit on 5 and 6 December, 12 and 13 December, and from 19 to 22 December. Children will be able to write letters to the North Pole, meet Father Christmas and take home a festive photograph.
Advance booking is required, with tickets available online. Accompanying adults are admitted free of charge.
Dogs will also have an opportunity to join the celebrations during Santa Paws on 6 December. The event will allow dogs to meet Father Christmas, receive a gift and pose for a festive photograph. Advance booking is required.
Christmas wreath workshops
Lindores Abbey Distillery will also host two wreath-making workshops in partnership with local florist Lomond Flowers.
The sessions will take place from 10am until noon on Sunday 29 November and Friday 4 December.
Guests will receive guidance from the Lomond Flowers team while creating a Christmas wreath to take home, alongside a warming festive drink on arrival. Workshop tickets can be booked online.
Throughout November, the distillery will also serve a limited-edition festive lunch from Wednesday to Sunday.
