In September, nearly 40 bars and venues located across Aberdeen are eagerly preparing to join in the celebration of whisky, also known as the “water of life.”

This exciting event marks the launch of the inaugural Whisky Week, promising an array of engaging activities and experiences for whisky enthusiasts and novices alike.

Established to honour Scotland’s national drink in a region famed for its distilling history and heritage, the North East of Scotland will host the first annual event, featuring an impressive line-up of bars and distilleries.

Whisky Week, taking place from 5-15 September, will see venues and whisky brands from across Scotland collaborate to create a whisky distillery walking tour around the city centre at an affordable price.

“Charlie and I are out to create an event that is accessible to the next generation of whisky fans as well as providing an experience even the most seasoned enthusiasts will enjoy.”
