UK shoppers can enjoy the delicious taste of Love Sum Dumplings, as they’re now available nationwide in Sainsbury’s stores, bringing on-trend, authentic, high-quality Asian dumplings to the chilled aisle.

Co-founded by MasterChef finalist Sandy Tang, Love Sum was created to make traditionally inspired Asian food more accessible to modern households, combining heritage recipes, premium ingredients and everyday convenience. Produced sustainably in the UK, their dumplings are chilled and ready to cook in minutes, whether steamed, pan-fried, baked or air-fried, offering a restaurant-quality experience at home with minimal effort.

Dumplings are deeply rooted in Asian food culture, where they are traditionally shared with family and friends during moments of celebration to symbolise togetherness and prosperity. Yet globally they are increasingly recognised as healthy, convenient, versatile and endlessly adaptable and enjoyed all year round.

Love Sum’s latest listing in Sainsbury’s invites shoppers to enjoy a taste of these traditions in their own home, whether hosting loved ones, entertaining friends or simply elevating a midweek meal. The launch couldn’t be better timed – no cuisine is firing up UK kitchens more than Asian, and dumplings have gone viral on social media (dumpling bake anyone?) for their versatility and speed.

Available in January in Sainsbury’s are six best-selling flavours from Love Sum, each with an RRP of £4.95.

  • Hoisin Duck Dumplings (200g) – rich, savoury and slightly sweet
  • Chicken & Kimchi Mandu (240g) – a punchy Korean-inspired favourite
  • Prawn Hargow (240g) – a dim sum classic with delicate prawn filling
  • Pork, Prawn & Shiitake Siumai (200g) – umami-rich and deeply comforting
  • Korean BBQ Beef Mandu (200g) – bold, smoky and full of flavour
  • Shiitake & Veg Jiaozi (200g) – a satisfying vegetarian option

Each product is made without artificial preservatives, comes in recyclable packaging and can also be frozen, offering flexibility for busy lifestyles and quick meals on the go.

Sandy Tang grew up surrounded by food and family cooking, with food and meals playing a central role in celebrations and social occasions. After reaching the finals of MasterChef in 2020, she co-founded Love Sum to celebrate Asian food culture in a way that feels fun, approachable and relevant for today’s shoppers, while staying true to the flavours and techniques that inspired her.

Sandy Tang, co-founder of Love Sum Dumplings, said: “Dumplings have always been about more than food for me. They represent family, celebration and connection. When I created Love Sum, I wanted to honour that heritage while making dumplings feel modern and accessible for everyone.”

“Launching in Sainsbury’s is a huge milestone, as it allows us to share these flavours and traditions with families across the UK, particularly during Lunar New Year, when coming together over food is so important. We’re proud to showcase authentic Asian flavours and show there’s more to dumplings than just gyoza and we can’t wait for people to discover their favourites.”

Produced in the UK and inspired by Eastern and Western culinary traditions, Love Sum Dumplings offer a delicious, premium way to enjoy authentic flavours at home, whether served as part of a celebration, shared as party food or enjoyed as a healthy, comforting, convenient meal that’s perfect for mid week.
