Pars Food Ltd, one of Scotland’s leading pie makers, has announced the opening of a new state of the art 14,500 sq. ft production facility in addition to the current 15,500 sq ft bakery in Glasgow.  The new facility was acquired to meet the exceptional demand for its growing Pie Sports brand, reflecting strong growth across retail, foodservice, and hospitality channels, too.

Over the past year, Pie Sports has become a branded success story in Scotland, securing substantial new listings with major retailers including Aldi, Lidl, and Scotmid. In addition to its retail success, Pie Sports is also synonymous with the world of football and is the pie of choice in many clubs & further cementing its reputation as a favourite among fans and shoppers across the country.

The brand’s rapid rise has created the need for increased production capacity, prompting the major investment in new facilities. The new factory will enhance production efficiency & support continued strategic growth, and will also create new jobs within Scotland’s and the UK’s thriving bakery sector.

Brian Sarafilovic, Owner of Pars Foods Limited, said:

“This new factory marks an important milestone in our growth.  Demand for Pie Sports has exceeded all expectations, and this investment ensures we can continue to scale responsibly while maintaining the quality our customers expect. We are proud to strengthen our operations here in Scotland and excited for the next chapter of our business.”

Lesley Cameron, CEO of Scottish Bakers, said:

“It is fantastic to see one of our members’ businesses going from strength to strength. The opening of this new facility is a clear sign of confidence in Scotland’s bakery sector and will create valuable jobs in a highly skilled and much-loved industry.”

With expanded capacity now in place, Pars Food Limited will certainly be poised for further growth as consumer demand for high-quality pies with a twist continues to rise.
