Digital product agency Studio Graphene has launched Telsen, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, after two years of in-house technology development.

Telsen is a SaaS platform that automates food safety checks and operational monitoring for the hospitality industry.

It utilises advanced sensors and digital workflows to ensure compliance, prevent safety issues, and generate valuable insights, enabling hospitality businesses to focus on delivering quality service.

Founded in 2014, Studio Graphene has successfully delivered over 250 digital products for global brands, startups and scale-ups.

Headquartered in London, with studios in Delhi, Lisbon and Geneva, Telsen marks Studio Graphene’s first spin-out business, expanding its expertise beyond client products to developing its own intellectual property.

Telsen addresses food safety and asset compliance challenges through intelligent monitoring of production and storage, enhancing operational sustainability via Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and AI-powered insights.

The platform has secured its first major client, catering firm Fooditude, and is launching international pilots, including one in Dubai.

With plans for expansion into the Middle East and the US, and a major update slated for early 2025, Telsen aims to become a leading global compliance solution for the hospitality industry.

Ritam Gandhi, founder and director of Studio Graphene, has been instrumental in Telsen’s creation, with industry experts providing guidance.

Joel Ross, formerly a senior product manager at Studio Graphene, has been appointed managing director of Telsen to oversee its growth and success.

Ritam Gandhi, founder and director of Studio Graphene said: “Telsen has been built with Studio Graphene’s core principles in mind – finding innovative solutions that address real world challenges.

“It’s a direct response to the needs of the hospitality sector in addressing food waste and safety, and we believe it will offer significant value by automating and streamlining compliance processes.”

Joel Ross, managing director of Telsen added: “The launch of Telsen as its own business is a testament to Studio Graphene’s ability to evolve and push boundaries.

“This is a really exciting step for us, and it coincided with us partnering with some brilliant paying clients. We’re now looking forward to ramping up Telsen’s global growth and further developing our SaaS platform.”
