Cumbernauld-based couple’s spiced green tea recognised in national competition.
Wander Cuppa’s Bothy Hearth tea, from Cumbernauld, Scotland, has been awarded Bronze in the Tea category at the Great British Food Awards 2026. The company was founded by Diana and David, who hand pack all their teas.
Bothy Hearth, a warming spiced green tea, was inspired by a stay in a caravan in the Scottish Highlands, where a small fireplace led to the idea for the blend. It was initially selected as a finalist from hundreds of entries across the UK.

Diana commented on the recognition: “Imagine stumbling upon a new favourite tea while wandering through a quiet market. That kind of discovery, warm, unexpected, memorable, is exactly what we want every cuppa to feel like. To have Bothy Hearth recognised alongside such talented producers means so much to us.”
Wander Cuppa’s teas are inspired by a place, a journey, or a favourite moment, with names such as Edinburgh Dusk and Kinross Fields. All the teas are vegan friendly and made with ethically sourced ingredients. They are available at wandercuppa.co.uk, at stockists across Scotland, and at markets across central Scotland.
