Lidl builds on £400k Scottish Gin Festival

Ten Scottish craft gins will be hitting the shelves as part of this year’s Lidl Scottish Gin Festival.

Last year, the retailer created £400k worth of business for the country’s spirits industry through the festival.

From classic London Dry-style gins to Scottish fruit gin liqueurs, Lidl’s Scottish Gin Festival showcases a collection of ten spirits offering top quality craft gins at great value prices.

Gins available at Lidl for the first time include GlenWyvis GoodWill Gin from the first 100% community-owned distillery, a unique gorse-flavoured spirit from Isle of Bute Gin and Wild Thyme Spirit’s Colonsay Gin Solas edition.

Aberdeenshire distilleries will also join the line-up including two gin expressions from House of Elrick and a ready-to-drink G&T can from BrewDog’s sister company, Lonewolf.

In addition, hugely popular Shetland Reel’s new Lidl exclusive, Filska, will be available as part of the collection alongside Kinrara Lime and Lemongrass hailing from Aviemore, and Angus-produced Redcastle Strawberry and Elderflower Gin Liqueur.  

Shetland Reel Filska Gin and Strathearn Heather Rose Gin will also be available to customers UK-wide as part of the festival.
