Lido Troon Team Ready For The Open

The team at Ayrshire restaurant Lido Troon are excited to welcome guests during The Open and will be expanding opening hours during the prestigious event.

To cater to the increased footfall expected during the 152nd Open, the popular Buzzworks venue will extend its opening hours from 7am until 11pm, ensuring guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere throughout the event, as well as being able to indulge in exclusive new specials and an expanded food and drinks menu.

With an expected influx of 300,000 guests, Buzzworks is dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience that showcases the best of Scottish hospitality.

“Lido will be open early every day for those looking to enjoy a spot of breakfast ahead of a day of golf rounds, and we’ll be serving everything from full Scottish breakfasts, to pancakes and French toast, fresh juices, smoothies and coffees.

“For other courses, we’ve dedicated ourselves to enhancing our expertise in premium seafood dishes such as lobster and langoustines, as well as steaks, Italian inspired dishes, and a carefully curated drinks menu which will complement our dishes. 

“The excitement among our teams is palpable as we prepare to showcase not only what our country offers but also our business’s commitment to excellence during this prestigious event.

“Our goal is to provide an unforgettable experience that highlights the richness of Scottish cuisine and hospitality.”

Guests heading to Lido during The Open are invited to savour a range of premium mains crafted to delight, including its delectable main course, king scallops & aragusta spaghetti, which features French spaghetti bathed in lobster bisque, accented with citrus garden peas, vine-ripened tomato, and basil olive oil.

For those craving a taste of Italy, the tartuffo neapolitan pizza offers fresh truffle shavings, wild mushrooms, fior di Latte cheese, and flat-leaf parsley atop a crispy crust.

Seafood fans can also look forward to the grilled half lobster and king prawn mac & cheese, where creamy aged cheddar glaze meets citrus and Parmesan crumb, served alongside fries and garlic ciabatta.
