Gary Louttit, Head of Hospitality and Leisure at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, has been elected President of Glasgow Business Club.

His appointment follows his nomination by the Club’s board and subsequent approval by its membership at its recent AGM.

Glasgow Business Club is a not-for-profit business club that aims to connect, inspire and inform people from organisations of all sizes through its monthly events, website and social media. Its members come from a variety of business sectors offering a comprehensive range of products and services.

Of his election Louttit said: “I’m honoured to be elected President and look forward to spearheading our membership drive and spreading the word about the services we offer to the local business community.

“The club plays a key role in revitalising the local economy through inter-company trading and mutual support, networking, sharing good practice and doing business together.

“We have much to offer new and established businesses and provide a great opportunity to have a regular ‘chinwag’ with friends and colleagues in the business community!”

Steve Barnett, Managing Partner at Shepherd added, “The firm has been a member of Glasgow Business Club for nearly a decade and it’s great to see that, through our continued support, one of the team has been invited to assume a senior role within this long established not for profit business club.”

Louttit forms part of the commercial team within Shepherd’s Glasgow office and covers the whole of Scotland in his specialism within the licensed trade and leisure sector of the property market.

A committed Rotarian, he is a past President of the Royalty Burns Club; a long-established Burns Club closely associated with the licensed trade in Scotland.
