Edinburgh’s iconic Cold Town House has announced the return of its popular craft beer festival in the city’s Grassmarket on Saturday 4th October to help celebrate Scotland’s thriving independent craft beer scene.

Following the success of its beer festivals over the past two years, Cold Town House is now gearing up to welcome back hundreds of craft beer fans from across the country in the heart of the capital from 12pm to 6pm.

The Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival promises to deliver a fun and vibrant experience, with 10 Scottish craft breweries showcasing their finest seasonal drinks.

This year’s line-up features some new faces, including Falkirk’s Not That California Brewing Company; Thistly Cross from East Lothian; Harviestoun Brewery and Williams Brothers from Clackmannanshire; and Edinburgh’s Walkie Talky Brewing.

Edinburgh’s Closet Brewing and Moonwake Brewing will also be returning for the October event.

This fully immersive Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival experience will give people the opportunity to get a close-up view of Cold Town’s very own microbrewery and enjoy some of their famous street food and Neapolitan pizzas, whilst also enjoying live music courtesy of Jono Connelly and the Brass Rats

Ruth Reid, Brand & Marketing Manager at Cold Town Brewery, said:

“We’ve gone bigger and better with more tickets on sale and amped up the live music with a five-piece brass band for this autumn’s Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival.

“We’re really excited to be welcoming a fantastic line-up of breweries to the home of brewing in Edinburgh. Time and again, this event has proven to be a brilliant celebration of the Scottish craft beer community, and this year’s edition is no exception.

“If the lineup is anything to go by, it’s set to be another standout occasion. We’re also buzzing to host an amazing selection of live acts, including Jono Connelly and the Brass Rats.

“It’s shaping up to be a showstopper of a day filled with great beer, great music, and great vibes—and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

Andrew McKnight, Vice Chairman and CEO of Harviestoun Brewery, said:

“We’re excited to be participating at the Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival this year and look forward to bringing some old favourites and maybe a couple of newer brews. It will be great to catch up with some other breweries too. Thanks to Cold Town for the invite!”

Michael Johnstone, Managing Director & Co-founder of Edinburgh’s Walkie Talky, added:

“We can’t wait to be pouring for our first time at this year’s Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival. We’re so hyped to share a couple of our core offerings on draught along with some tasters of two of the big collaboration beers we brewed in Italy and France earlier this year.

“To be working alongside our pals at Cold Town while standing next to some of the best indie producers out of Scotland is a real privilege and getting to do both while meeting some of the best beer drinkers out there is just icing on the cake!”

Cold Town House is located at 4 Grassmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2JU.
