Fierce Beer has launched Fierce IPA in the Scotland Retro Kit, a limited edition draught exclusive available across 20 Mitchells & Butlers venues in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow from 21 May 2026.
The beer is Fierce IPA, a 5.0% fruity, crisp and balanced IPA brewed with Mosaic and Citra hops, delivering notes of nectarine, orange and caramel with a bright, zesty, bittersweet character and a light, clean finish. For the duration of Scotland’s World Cup campaign, it pours under a tap badge and label inspired by Scotland’s iconic 1990 third kit, one of the most recognisable strips in Scottish football history and the jersey worn when Scotland last beat Sweden at Italia ’90.
Scotland return to the World Cup this summer for the first time since France 1998, facing Haiti, Morocco and Brazil in Group C. The opening fixture against Haiti kicks off on 13 June in Boston. Matches against Morocco and Brazil follow on 19 and 24 June respectively.
While several Scottish craft breweries have released World Cup-themed beers this summer, Fierce IPA in the Scotland Retro Kit is the only one available on draught across a national pub estate of this scale, placing it at the bar in the venues where Scotland fans will gather to watch every match.
The beer features across Mitchells & Butlers’ O’Neill’s, Nicholson’s and High Street pubs in Scotland, with named venues including O’Neill’s in Aberdeen, Tennents Bar in Glasgow and The Last Drop in Edinburgh. A limited run of cans is available directly from the Fierce Beer website and in the brewery’s own bars in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
Craig Cargill, Sales Director at Fierce Beer, said: “Scotland at a World Cup is something a whole generation of fans has waited a long time for. We wanted to mark that properly. The 1990 kit is part of Scottish football folklore, and this beer is our way of putting something on the bar that feels like it belongs in the moment. The cans are a limited run and for any Scotland fan, they’re the kind of thing worth holding onto. Working with Mitchells & Butlers gives us the scale to reach fans where they’ll actually be watching the games.”
