ravity Beer Festival Returns to Summerhall for Fourth Year
Edinburgh event features over 60 beers, 15 new brewers, and international guests.
The Gravity Beer Festival, described as Edinburgh’s only all-in craft beer event, is set to return to Summerhall on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 of September for its fourth year. The festival will welcome 15 brand new brewers, offering attendees over 60 beers and ciders, all included in the £41.50 ticket price. The event takes place in The Dissection Room at Summerhall Arts & Culture Centre, which also serves as a venue for visual and performing arts.
Andrew Barnett, Founder, said: “Year four, and it might just be our best yet. We’re welcoming 15 brand new brewers to Summerhall this September. Over 60 beers, a no-and-low bar, tutored tastings, street food, and yes, dogs are still very much welcome.”

This year’s line-up includes American craft brewer Sierra Nevada, travelling to Scotland’s capital for the weekend, and Austrian independent Stiegl. Local brewers Pilot Beer and Barney’s Beer, who are also hosts, will be in attendance alongside other UK brewers.
Following sell-out allocations over the past three years, hosts Barney’s Beer have announced extra tickets to meet audience demand. Attendees will find 14 breweries and one cidery pouring across the weekend, with all 60-plus beers and ciders included in the ticket price.
Each ticket also includes a branded Gravity Beer Festival glass.
The festival provides free tutored talks and tastings in each session, along with a no-and-low bar featuring a range of alcohol-free beers. Street food vendors will be available in the Summerhall courtyard. The event aims to allow audiences to sample the craft brewing scene and discover new favourites without the use of tokens.
