Glasgow restaurant extends availability of popular dishes and announces October events.

El Santo, a Latin American restaurant in Glasgow’s Merchant City, has partnered with Deliveroo, making its cuisine available for home delivery. Glaswegians can now order food from El Santo through the Deliveroo app from Tuesday to Friday, between 12pm and 9pm.

The restaurant is focusing on dishes suitable for sharing and quick options for lunch, including special deals.

Ester Morales, Marketing Manager for El Santo, said the team was “very excited to announce it that we’ve teamed up with Deliveroo to bring a taste of Latin America to many more of the City’s spice loving residents.”

Among the highlights on the Deliveroo profile are the BBQ Bowl, which can be ordered all day through the app, compared to being a lunchtime-only option in the restaurant. Also available are artisanal ciabatta sandwiches filled with 12-hour braised beef, finished with avocado mayo and house-made chimichurri. Prime beef cuts, such as Brazilian picanha, are offered for £25.00. Ester Morales stated, “Our prices are affordable, and we have something for everybody. These are tried and tested dishes which are existing customer base love.”
She added that bringing El Santo to the door is “fantastic for workplace corporate options as we approach Christmas.”

In addition to the new delivery service, El Santo is running several promotions and events throughout October. The “Taco Fiesta,” available until 30th October, offers four tacos with guacamole and tortillas for £15. This deal is for eat-in guests at lunchtime on weekdays and all day on Deliveroo.

Every Friday and Saturday, the restaurant hosts its “Latin Fiesta” with live music and cocktails, while Sundays feature a bottomless rodizio offer, described as a special take on Sunday roast.

Towards the end of October, El Santo will celebrate Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with a two-part event. During the day, from 2 pm to 5 pm, a family-friendly activity will include a makeup artist for face painting and colouring sheets that tell the story of the holiday, alongside the special October menu.

In the evening, a “Fiesta” will take place, featuring dancers, a DJ, shot rounds, and a festive atmosphere with a DJ from Brazil and Latin American dancers. Ester Morales encouraged those who have not yet tried El Santo to experience the cuisine at home or in the restaurant.
